Hand-tufted rugs should not be confused with machine-made tufted alternatives. Hand tufting is a traditional technique that requires a high level of craftsmanship and precision.
Each of our rugs is made entirely by hand. The yarn is carefully hand-dyed, tufted using a handheld mechanical tool, and then finished with meticulous shearing using scissors to achieve the desired texture and expression.
Our hand-tufted rugs are available in a variety of shapes and standard sizes, with the flexibility to customise dimensions to suit individual projects. The collection offers a wide range of designs and patterns, allowing for both classic and more expressive interiors.
We primarily use 100% wool – a blend of New Zealand and fine Indian wool – as well as Tencel®. The wool contains natural lanolin, which gives the rugs a subtle lustre while also making them naturally dirt- and stain-resistant. Tencel®, derived from fast-growing renewable wood sources, adds a soft sheen and is largely biodegradable. Depending on the design, the rugs are made in pure wool, pure Tencel®, or a blend of both materials. Please refer to each individual product for specific details.
