Hand Woven Carpets

Our hand woven carpets are made manually by skilled craftsmen on traditional flat looms in small villages along the Ganges River in India.

The different looks are defined by the different wool qualities and patterns woven into or stitched onto them.

The Kelim carpets, which are woven with a warp in wool, have a shiny and fat wool base. They are mad we with traditional techniques of Anatolian origin.

The Dhurrie carpets are also made in a traditional nomadic way, but in contrast to the Kelim carpets they have a warp in cotton. The base of the Dhurries also feel a bit stiffer.
